Products and Services

Lead Ore

Lead has been used by humans for a variety of purposes for more than 5,000 years
Lead Ore is most commonly found as Lead (II) Sulphide (PbS) galena- a heavy shiny grey metallic ore with a conspicuous cubic cleavage. Galena is most important ore of lead and an important source of silver.

The primary use of lead is in lead-acid batteries for the storage of energy. 80% of total use is for motor vehicles.

It is also used in a variety of other applications such as electrical equipment, radiators, stationary batteries (for backup power), pigments, ammunition, cable sheathing, weights for lifting, alloys such as solder, weight belts for diving, fine crystal glass, flint glass, radiation shield for nuclear reactors and X-ray equipment. It can also be used in insecticides and to store corrosive liquids.

Spodumene

Spodumene a lithium mineral derived from pegmatite rock, it is therefore an important source of Lithium. It is used in a variety of applications most notably in production of ceramics and glass but its recent surge in popularity is courtesy of its use in batteries for electric vehicles and mobile phones. It can also be in used medicine and also as a fluxing agent.

It was reported in 2019 that, around 50% of lithium is extracted from mineral Ores which mainly consist of Spodumene LiAl(SiO3)2. Other Lithium- bearing pegmatite silicates we have include Lepidolite K(Li,Al)3(Al,Si,Rb)4O10(F,OH)2 and Petalite (LiAl(Si2O5)2.

Spodumene is highly variable in colour- white, colourless, gray, pink, lilac, violet, yellow and green, may be bicolored; emerald green – hiddenite; lilac – kunzite; yellow – triphane.

Lithium is extracted from spodumene by fusing in acid after roasting to convert it to the more reactive β-spodumene. lithium extraction from spodumene also typically offers lower capital costs and a shorter time from discovery to production in comparison to brine operations.

Iron Ore

Iron is the main and most abundant element of the earth’s core at around 88.8%. Iron Ore is a mineral rich in iron oxides from which Iron can be extracted. Magnetite (Fe3O4) and Hematite (Fe2O3) are by far the most common types of ore from which Iron is obtained. Magnetite is black and Hematite is red. Most iron ores are extracted by surface mining.

Pure Magnetite contains around 72.4% iron and Hematite around 69.9%. These can be fed directly into iron-making blast furnaces. Other ores of iron are limonite or bog-iron ore (2Fe2O3·3H2O), which is brown; and siderite (FeCO3), which is pale brown.

90% of all metal that is refined today is iron and its mostly used to manufacture steel.

Our prices are extremely competitive as our high-quality Iron Ore is directly from mines in Africa, thereby more profit for your steel business.

Petroleum Coke

Petroleum coke or petcoke has been produced since the 1930s. Petroleum coke, is a final carbon-rich solid material that is produced from all types of oil (light/heavy crudes) during the oil refining process.

It is a key commercial product that is used directly in a wide range of applications.

Petcoke can take two different forms: green petcoke which is used as a fuel and calcined petcoke which is used as a feedstock by manufacturer for a wide range of products such as aluminium, glass, paints, coatings and fertilisers.

Around 80% of worldwide petcoke production is “fuel-grade” petcoke (green coke), used for electricity generation and in cement kilns.
